DRAWING A DIVERSION Catalogue text:-

American artist Benjamin Jones' drawings are peopled by peculiar wide-eyed figures, instantly endearing whilst at times somewhat disquieting. The deceptively childlike bearing combined with significant titles disclose the artists concerns with aspects of character and humanity; a potent jolt between innocence and the subject under scrutiny. Many of the works on display are part of an ongoing new series Seven Virtues and Seven Deadly Sins.

Jones exhibits in the USA with Barbara Archer Gallery, and his work has been included in the collections of many prominent American museaums. This is his first exhibition in London since taking part in ArtLondon in 2006.
